Mary Greeley Medical Center Auxiliary Gift Shop Position Summary: Provide leadership in the areas of customer service, sales, and management support of the Gift Shop within Mary Greeley Medical Center. Responsible for open and close of the shop, providing excellent customer service and selling, maintain merchandise and inventory levels, cash register and computer accuracy and efficiency, and other duties upon request. Position Responsibilities and Duties: *Ability to work with others, and take direction from management. *Welcome and engage customers, offer assistance and share product knowledge while suggesting suitable gift ideas. *Maintain housekeeping standards of the selling floor and backroom by cleaning windows, glass shelving, fixtures, furniture, cash wrap and backroom areas. Straighten and fill-in stock when needed. *Deliver flowers, gifts, and cheer cards to patients upon request. *Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and when needed for coverage during absence of management, special sale events, or when conducting inventory. Position Skills/ Requirements: *Applicant must be 18 years of age. *Ability to stand for extended periods of time. *Light physical activity including lifting up to 30 lbs., climbing ladders or stairs. *Knowledge of computer, POS system, and calculator. Skilled at typing and entering information accurately. *Excellent interpersonal skills; a positive "can do" approach to problems. *Demonstrate ability to deal with widely diverse audiences and high traffic. *Good communication skills and strong service orientation. *Dependable, personable and conscientious
